Discover Wolff Tanning Beds

Info on Wolff tanning beds:You have probably seen advertisements for
tanning salons, and you may even have used a tanning bed yourself to build and/or maintain a healthy bronze tan.

Tanning salons are becoming big business, and the sales of home tanning beds are taking off as more people realize the time and cost saving benefits of having your own tanning equipment.

A few manufacturers of tanning beds use the name "Wolff" in their products, and you may have wondered what this name means.

The Wolff name is important because Wolff tanning beds use the technology that pioneered the tanning industry more than 25 years ago.

German scientist Friedrich Wolff is often called the "father of indoor tanning."

During a study of the effects of ultraviolet light on high-performance athletes, Wolff discovered that ultraviolet light produces tans.

He quickly realized the potential of this process, and he soon founded the indoor tanning industry.

Wolff's lamps and reflecting systems set the standard for tanning beds all over the world, and Wolff System lamps and reflectors are used in many of the best tanning beds produced today.

Wolff System products were introduced to the North American market in 1978. Rather than producing their own tanning beds, Wolff System provides tanning supplies for salons, with products ranging from tanning lotions to apparel.

They are chiefly known for their tanning lamps, however. These lamps are used in a variety of tanning beds and booths.

Wolff tanning lamps are also used in face
tanners, which are usually embedded in tanning beds and work to create a smooth tan on your face, and on tanning panels that are suspended over a lounge chair.

All Wolff tanning beds are produced by licensees, manufacturers, which have met Wolff System's stringent quality standards.

Some Wolff tanning beds are produced by ETS Incorporated. ETS has several different lines of commercial and home tanning beds, booths, and panels, including their popular line of Sunquest Wolff tanning beds.

Heartland Tanning Supplies also produce tanning beds and booths that use Wolff System lamps and reflectors.

PC Marketing Tanning Solutions produce many different types of Wolff tanning beds, both for home and commercial use.

Many of PC Marketing's beds come with attractive and funky color schemes that can brighten up any salon, and inside many of these beds are the Wolff lamps that have been shown to produce great tans.

Two other manufacturers licensed to use the Wolff name in their tanning beds are International Tanning Manufacturers, which produces Wolff tanning lamps, and SonnenBräune, which produces home and commercial tanning equipment and supplies.
