Tanning Questions

I have questions on tanning. I want a deep dark tan. What is the best lotion to use. How often should I go tanning, and for how long. Any and all info will help. I am new to this. I have tanned for the last year, but I didn't get that dark of a tan that I want. Also, how do you keep it dark at all times?
