Do Tanning Pills Work?
In the last few years sunless tanning pills have hit the market in enormous numbers. But do they really work? The typical tanning-pill contains a pigment called canthaxanthin. The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved canthaxanthin for use as a color additive in food. It has not been approved by the FDA as a tanning alternative. A typical pill used for tanning contains a significantly larger quantity of canthaxanthin than what is in a food product that contains this coloring agent. Using a tanning pill requires one to ingest it (swallow it) in order to change the color of your skin (to get a sunless tan from the tanning pill). After you consume canthaxanthin your body distributes it throughout your body. So you skin turns orange brown. But apparently it colors your internal organs as well! Including your brain!!! Tanning pills which contain canthaxanthin can cause dangerous side effects. One such side effect is hepatitis and canthaxanthin retinopathy. It seems to me that you should stay away from these new pills used for tanning and use a better sunless tanning alternative. Try getting a spray tan, or a use quality self tanners. Mystic Tan is the best spray tan booth on the market because they have a superior, easy to use system. Other spray tanning booths do not compare. But if you want a self tanner or a touch up spray, get Msytic Tan Perfection Spray, Cal Tan spray tan, or Hempz. These self tanning alternatives are the best on the market. I know, because I use them myself, and my customers enjoy them as well. Also, you should sign up for my free mini course on tanning. It will help you with the indoor tanning process, and help you get a better tan. Even picky tanners will learn a thing or two: Free mini course. Related Articles: www.Tanning-Advisor.com
