Tips On Tanning Bed Pillows

Tanning bed pillows have made great advancements as tanning becomes more popular and more popular.
More people discover the benefits of building and maintaining a natural looking bronze tan in tanning salons. And using a tanning bed is a great way to get a tan, but lying on a flat surface can cause neck and back pain, especially if you tan more than once a week.

Fortunately for tanners, tanning bed pillows provide much needed comfort, even as you lay down to get that perfect tan. A pillow can help to provide neck support, which in turn will reduce the pressure on your shoulder and back muscles.

If you frequent a tanning salon, however, you may be concerned with hygiene. Are the pillows used in your tanning salon cleaned regularly? What sorts of materials are used in pillows, and do they provide adequate protection against the sweat and oils left by previous users?

If you have a home tanning bed, you will want to get a tanning bed pillow that stands up to repeated use, and to the ultraviolet rays that give you your tan.

There are a wide variety of pillows available, each offering its own benefits and drawbacks. Many pillows are made of porous foam covered by a plastic cover. These pillows offer great comfort, but they do allow oils and sweat to seep through their seams, which makes them difficult to clean thoroughly.

Some pillows are made entirely of urethane,
but the drawback of this kind of tanning bed pillow is that ultraviolet light will eventually break down the surface of the urethane and allow moisture to seep through.

As long as you are the only user of these pillows, the health danger is minimal. However, mildew and bacteria can grow on the exposed inner surfaces of the pillow, which is definitely something to be avoided.

Many tanning salons are switching to pillows that use new materials that prevent moisture absorption. These pillows are easy to clean, and offer the most hygienic approach to neck support during tanning.

If you are concerned about what kind of pillows your salon uses, be sure to ask the staff what kind of pillow they use and how often they clean them.

Because competition has increased among tanning salons, the chances are good that you will be able to find a salon that uses tanning bed pillows that are easy to clean and prevent moisture absorption.
