Discover The New Spray On Tan Craze

Thousands and thousands of people have discovered the spray on tan. And millions have re-discovered tanning in recent years... Having a golden brown tan 12 months a year looks great, and it also brings a morale lift, especially to people living in cold or wet climates. When it is 20 below outside, nothing will warm the heart as much as looking in the mirror at a deep brown tan. While tanning salons and home tanning beds have helped many people build and maintain a tan, they are not without risk.

Overexposure to UVB rays can contribute to the development of certain types of skin cancer (but some uv exposure actually fights cancer), and while the risks associated with tanning beds may be slight, many people have opted for a completely safe way to get a tan: the use of sunless tanning products. These products come in lotions, gels, or mousses, but one of the best ways to ensure complete coverage is to use a spray on tan product.

Spray on tan products are available from many manufacturers of sunless tanning spray products. The chief advantage of spray on tans is that they are easy to apply evenly. Many lotions require an even application which can be difficult, especially in hard to reach spots like your shoulder blades. Spray on products tend to show fewer streaks and tan lines, because it has been sprayed evenly over the skin surface.

Spray tanning and other sunless tanning products also require less "hands on" application, which is good because dihydroxyacetone (DHA), the active ingredient in all self tanning products, can be hard to clean off of your hands following application. You will find that spray tanning systems tend to dry much faster than lotions, gels, or mousses, which means you can get your tan on and get dressed much more quickly. Additionally, wet sunless tanning products will stain many clothes so you want to avoid contact with clothing while it is drying.

You can also get a tan from a tanning salon. Many tanning salons now feature

"airbrushing" booths, which spray tanning solution evenly over your body. These spray on tanning booths make self-tanning easier and cleaner because you can mask the parts of your body that most frequently need cleaning after spray on application, such as your fingernails. You will also have a trained staff member there to assist you if you like, helping to judge whether your tan is even in the back. The results of your spray tanning will likely last between five and seven days, especially if your skin is well moistened before you apply the solution.

Additionally, a spray on tan is completely UV safe, because no exposure to UV rays is necessary to establish a wonderful tan! Therefore, if you would like a tan, but are worried about absorbing too many UV rays try out a spray on tan today and enjoy having a beautiful, golden tan.
