It did just the opposite for me. It took me so long to get any color and I found out that I needed to wait at least an hour after showering to go to my tanning session and to wait at least two hours to shower after tanning. I understand you are suppose to wait about 5-7 hours to shower after tanning using a bronzer lotion to give it time to set in good. But not everyone will have the same experience because all of our skin is different and if it works best for you that is great.
