My Tanning Bed Won't Turn On

I have a 32 bulb bed that is probably at least 5 years old. The display on the bed lights up and when the start button is pushed the 20 minutes lights up on the timer but the lights do not come on. Sometimes the lights will flash a couple of times and then go off and sometimes they flash and then it starts perfectly. Any suggestions!!!
