How To Get Rid Of White Spots and More Tanning Tips!

White spots could be dry skin, usually a reaction from using tingle lotion. It could also be caused by a fungus like athlete's foot, so don't creep out, it's not from dirty beds, everyone's different. My hubby and I use the same shower and I've never gotten athlete's foot, but he has. For dry skin spots try head and shoulders as a body wash, moisturize daily, take warm not hot showers, and apply body lotion while your skin is still moist.

If it is a fungus, there is product called HALT which is not expensive, works great, available at most salons, ask for it if they don't have it. You'll be back to your tanned self in a week or less and you'll have a lot left if it ever arises again. Store in the fridge, as you should do with all lotions you won't use regularly.

Wait for at least two hours after tanning to shower.

Cheap lotion is better than nothing, but it's cheap. Look for lotions with L-Tyrosine as an ingredient...and not the last one.

Don't use tingle until you've built a base tan or unless your dark/medium skinned or tan without burning. And guys... beware, it's not the fun tingle you get at the drug store so be careful where you apply it!

Tingle lotion will have an affect on fair skinned people you come in contact with. For example, babies, children... I was snuggling with my hubby the other night, he hadn't tanned in months, and he's a blue eyed Scottish-Irish... he ended up with red welts where my arms and legs were wrapped around him. (He did exaggerate though and acted like he was on fire, but that didn't last long ;P

For spots on the backside, or under the butt cheeks, lay on your tummy. Just remember to turn your head side to side every few minutes to even your face tan. Try a stand up unit, great for underarms and the entire bod. Or go to a salon like mine that features Ergoline beds! They have a slight raise under the calf's, which lift your legs, eliminating the smiles under the butt cheeks, and also takes the pressure off the tail bone. The pressure prohibits blood flow to the skin, therefor no oxygen is getting to the area, in order for the melanin (the pigment) to darken it needs oxygen!

Gosh I could go on forever!
