Do It Yourself Spray On Tan

by Lisa M
(Chino, Ca.)

I have always had really great results with just about any drug store spray on tan, even the generic store brands. I just give the bottle a few shakes and apply in my garage. I use fairly large sweeping strokes, about 12 inches back and forth; holding the bottle about 6 inches from the area. Usually 1 or 2 strokes is enough per limb or per area. For my back and shoulder blades I reach over my shoulder and spray: right hand for left side, left hand for right side. The mist will fall over my shoulders and back. I NEVER rub it in. Rubbing it in only causes streaky, uneven coverage, not to mention stained hands. After your dry, wait 15 minutes, then get dressed. Application time is short, but the extra dry time is crucial. These tips make for a do it yourself spray on tan that is a close rival to a salon. I promise. Enjoy!
