Beginners tanning tips! Good to know

by Marci McLain
(Albemarle, NC)

For those who are just starting out and don't know exactly how to get started and get quick results. Here is a good plan:(and if you've never tanned indoors before you should ask a professional at the salon what they think before continuing because they can see your skin as is)...

#1. For the first week you should tan everyday unless you burn and then give it time to fade.

#2. After the first week or so you should tan every other day for 2-3 weeks. The reasoning for this is so you don't turn red. You must give your skin time to recuperate before tanning again.

#3. After the 4th week you SHOULD have reached your maximum tan shade unless you've slipped up in your schedule and from then on out you should tan once every 3 days to maintain your color!
Maximum tan shading should be reached by the 4th week but most likely not before!
